Milton Keynes homes 'going cheap'

First time buyers looking for a property in Milton Keynes could soon be the proud owner of a home in Campbell Square thanks to a new mortgage scheme offered by George Wimpey.

The housebuilder is promoting a range of apartments through the government's low-cost home ownership programme known as MyChoiceHomeBuy.

It is aimed primarily at first time buyers or anybody with an annual household income of between £20,000 and £60,000, enabling them to buy a home outright with a mortgage for just 50 per cent of the purchase price.

The remaining amount comes in the form of a loan.

At Campbell Square, one-bedroom apartments are available from £69,975 (correct at time of publication).

"Each stylish home comprises a living/dining room, a modern open-plan kitchen with built-in units, oven, hob and hood, a bathroom and one or two bedrooms off a private interior hallway," states the homebuilder.

First time buyers can pay off the loan in stages or in total after living in the property for 12 months.
