A new housing development at Melbury in Gosforth has proved popular with buyers looking to purchase a new home before Christmas, it has been claimed.
According to house builder Barratt six luxury properties have been sold at the site in six weeks, due to the number of discounts and incentives in place to attract buyers.
"We've seen a lot of activity at Melbury in recent weeks, bucking the national trend of slowing sales," Barratt North-East sales manager Steve Mariner stated.
He urged those considering of buying a property at the development to move fast, noting that the current offers in place will only be available until Christmas.
Properties available at the site include five-bedroom townhouses reduced from £404,000 to £348,995, which include a master bedroom with en-suite and a study.
Barratt also has a few remaining properties available at its Bishops Gait site in Salisbury, where prices start at £234,995.
