East London offers "strong sense of community"

Those that need to live in London but desire a location away from the main urban areas may be interested in a new development in the east of the city.

Caspian Wharf - which is located in the Limehouse area against the banks of the river Thames - offers buyers a range of studio, one, two and three-bedroom apartments, with prices starting from £205,000.

According to developer Berkeley Homes, the Limehouse area - which is home to actors Sir Ian McKellen and Steven Berkoff - has a "strong sense of community" with many of its inhabitants working in the media and creative industries.

"Caspian Wharf is one of the best connected new homes developments in East London," the firm added, noting that Mile End Park and Victoria Park are both short distances from the site.

Elsewhere in the capital, Barratt Homes recently announced plans to build a new property development in Croydon, which is due to open in the spring of 2010.ADNFCR-1100-ID-18875505-ADNFCR
