Turkish property in possible tourist boostTurkish property in possible tourist boost
The Turkish property industry could be in for a boost with news that the country's tourism authority has been nominated for a prize.
It is on the shortlist for the title of Europe's leading tourist board at the World Travel Awards 2008, Focus on Travel News reports.
The decision of who has won will be revealed at the ceremony on December 5th.
Such an accolade may be an indication that the Turkish Tourist Office is proving highly effective in increasing tourist numbers, something that may interest investors keen on tapping into the holiday rental sector in the country.
One example of the efforts the board is making to grow the industry was reported by hurriyet.com last week.
It stated that the board and the private sector are to join forces in funding a $320 million (£182 million) advertising campaign to promote tourism further.
