Chorley homes 'designed for first-time buyers'

A new development in Chorley, Lancashire is being marketed at first-time buyers who have been struggling to climb on to the property ladder.

The Debut range in Buckshaw Village is already proving popular with homebuyers in the area, who are attracted to the £76,995 starting price, according to property developer Redrow.

A recent survey by Halifax revealed that in every region of the UK, the average first-time house price is above £100,000.

Lesley Myers, area sales manager for Redrow Homes, said: "It has become increasingly difficult for first-time buyers to purchase homes.

"Rising interest rates and house prices have made it nigh on impossible for a great many people – and this is something that Redrow has tackled with its Debut range."

An incentive for first-time buyers is an offer where the initial outlay is reduced if purchasers choose to defer ten per cent of the initial purchase price for up to a decade.

The Debut range at Buckshaw Village consists of one and two-bedroom homes and is about a 40 minute drive from Manchester.
